Aims and Objectives
To motivate and to involve public stakeholders from local areas in the support and encouragement of reconciliation in order to promote employment and to improve the quality of life for men and women, By:

  • Exchanging information about reconciliation initiatives, financed, promoted or/and carried out by local public Spanish and Norwegian organisations.
  • Producing a Guide of good practices
  • Carrying out an experimental study on the design and implementation of a reconciliation plan for personal, family and professional life in ten local Spanish public organisations.

Aims and Objectives
To improve Work Life Balance in SMEs in Denmark, Greece, Italy and Poland by:
using an information pack previously developed in the UK as the basis for the preparation of similar packs in each of the partner countries; and
training ‘champions’ to promote the development and implementation of Work Life Balance policies and practices in SMEs through a cascade process.

FAMILY: Facilitating family learning on work & life balance

Aims and Objectives

  • To develop an innovative approach to family learning on work-life balance, thus increasing capacity of employees to contribute themselves to implementation of family friendly initiatives at workplaces and as a result, to remain active on the labour market.
  • To raise awareness of the society about the need for bottom-up initiatives encouraging involvement of employees themselves in implementing family-friendly policies at their workplaces.;
  • To offer innovative ICT-based training material for learners “Family learning on work & life balance”;
  • To address the need for qualified family consultant on work and life balance to work with families having problems to reconcile work & family life;
  • to ensure optimal use of the results beyond the partnership, during and beyond the lifetime of the project.

  • Improving communication of university work life balance policies and practices through providing clear information that is easily accessible by all staff
  • Reviewing existing university policies that impact on staff work life balance and developing new policies that expressly support work life balance
  • Providing staff development to improve their understanding of work life balance issues
  • Sharing good practice across the University so as to embed a culture of work-life balance for all throughout the institution
